LDN WMN – Pauline Boty by Julia Vogl

Pauline Boty was a founder of the British Pop art movement and was the only female painter in the British wing of the movement. Her often subversive work celebrated femininity and sexuality. Julia Vogl reflected on Pauline’s role in the feminist and pop are movements with this interactive floor piece, made in part, responding to local voices from Sutton.

It was great to see some of Julia’s floor stickers at the FutureCity exhibition, which resembled her original piece and made the space more interactive.
